Thanks for your interest in the Broken Arrow High School FIRST Robotics program. The goal of the program is to inspire students to consider careers in science and engineering by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology based skills.
As part of the FIRST Robotics Competition, team members will work with professional engineers from local companies such as Tactical Electronics and FlightSafety. The volunteer engineering mentors will help the students design, build, and program a robot to compete against other schools in a regional competition. Take some time to visit http://firstinspires.org to learn about FRC. There is lots of good information there.
Make no mistake—there is work involved with being on the team. But, you will also have a ton of fun, make some new friends, and learn what it takes to build a large-scale competitive robot. The biggest thing the team requires is a time commitment from you.
Print out the application below, fill it out, and return it to Mrs. Messinger in room C116.
